I have twin 200 HPDI's LZ200 and Z200. LZ engine has gone bad needs to be replaced/rebuilt. I have a Z200 engine with 300 hours I can purchase from a good shop. Can that Z200 engine be converted to replace the LZ200 engine? If so much work?

Only difference between the Z and the LZ models is the lower unit.
Buy the replacement Z model with 300 hours. Remove the gear case. Save the gear case for use as a spare part for the Z model you currently have.
Install the gear case from the failed LZ model onto the new to you Z model and voila, the motor you just bought is the correct configuration. -
