OK, first I know the engines not remaining straight while trailering wont hurt anything.
I have tried rubber heater hose over the hydraulic cylinder arms, tethering the lower units to the transom, tying the wheel (which only works for short periods with hydraulic steering).
I was thinking of using pex tubing and slicing out a piece which snaps nicely over the cylinder arms but I dont want any abuse on the cylinder end caps. Has anybody done this (or used the store bought type) and how are your end caps?
Also thought about an arm from the port engine to the swim platform handle and securing it at the engine with a tine pin and the handle with a SS U bolt.
I don't know which would be better (I know the snap over pex on the cylinder arms would be easier.
Ok any thoughts?
Yes I know it doesnt hurt the engines and doesnt matter etc etc. ...I just want them to remain stationary and straight when trailering.
