    On the Ice Road Truckers a guy ends almost every sentence with "B'y". A google search says this is something common in the New Found Land. Are you familiar with this? Do you use it?

      Yes bye I do...lol New found land is spelled "Newfoundland"

      It's sort of like Y'all used in the southern states.

      Newfoundland has its own encyclopedia, with 1000's of words in it and thier meanings.

      People who come to newfoundland from away can have a very tough time understanding local talk.

      "I sees you got a skint new yamaha engine on your punt bye..she steam along good wit that on her ****y?

        Rhymes with eye. The last word blanked out above rhymes with "hockey"

          Newfoundland has a complex linguistic history. The evolution of unusual dialect on this predominantly English speaking island (98% regard English as mother tongue) is to be expected as Newfoundland was outside the social and political development of the mainland.
