Yamaha F200 Continous alarm..can crank engine..cant start

I have a F200 Yamaha engine that developed a problem overnight.When switch is activated..continous alarm kicks in..can crank engine cant start..any solutions?Tq

did you check the man overboard kill switch?

is the alarm when turned to start or just to the on position?

99 is spot on. If the kill switch lanyard has been pulled (or the kill switch circuit is defective) when the motor is cranked the alarm will sound. The alarm is telling you what the problem is.

Not to be confused by the sound of utter silence when the key switch is turned to the start position. That is telling you that you left the motor in gear when you last stopped it. Been there and done that. It is a bit unnerving when 20 miles at sea.

yes I did..disconnected the white wire..no effect..alarm remains

Just in the on position or when turned to start?
