can anyone help! it turns over and has spark but just wont go...cleaned carbs, even resorted to easy start, it coughed but that was it.. has anyone got any ideas . Ren.

if you mean ether as easy start i would suggest to not use that. but do, as someone else cranks, spray gas from spray bottle into carb throats to see if you get any different response. if so then you need to go thru your fuel system again.are you manually choking? also check your fuel pump/s, they should allow flow,up towards carbs and ZERO back thru.you can use a vacuum tester to pull or simply blow the opposite way. -

Just sounds like you are not getting fuel thru the carbs.
Make sure the primer bulb is pumped till firm.
Take a look at the choke butterfly valves to make sure they are closing completely during cranking.
If you have a manual choke knob in addition to an electric choke, then try the manual choke to see if it closes the butterfly valve plates more.
If the above makes no difference, then the carbs may have to be torn down, parts cleaned, and a kit installed.
