So here is a video of the part from my F225txrd (AFAIK functioning satisfactorily)
being testing with air
discharging though a bubble stone in water for visibility of flow.

Interesting that it is not "air tight" even at a very low pressure,
but of course its use is with gasoline.
It clearly limited the pressure to NMT 12 psi

(looks pretty much the same from both ends. I'm sure one side has a spring - but I can't see it)
