VST drain tube F150 2004

This drain tube is the only part of VST that is easy to get to. No issues but should I drain some of the gas to check for particles? Would this be a good indicator of needing to take it apart for cleaning?

I drain mine every once in awhile just because..

I'll also, by mouth, blow back into the drain tube just to
loosen and make sure all debris is out.

I'll also pump the bulb should some crap come out to help flush it..

DO, catch it in a small CLEAN container so you can inspect it as well..

After you get most of the crap out, you don't have to do it nearly as often.
