Startup idle problem OX 66

Hi all,
Twin 1999 225 OX 66's LX prefix if that matters.
On startup port engine runs at around 1200 rpms for a couple minutes then drops down. Starboard used to be the same, but now starts and goes to 1200 rpms and a couple seconds later it drops down which usually causes it to stall.
I have to use the fast idle to keep it running till it warms up. Once warmed up both idle normally.
Any ideas?

maybe there is something that is telling the ECU/CDI that the motor is warmed up already(falsely)

A complete Model number from the motor might help others know exactly the motor that you have so they cam reply better
