Just want to take the time to acknowledge the members, especially Rodbolt, Boscoe, and Townsend. I recently completely tore down and went through my SX150TXRZ after my first overheat problem and finding excess salt/mineral deposits throughout my cooling passages.
I got her in the water last Wednesday for a trial ride. First thing I noticed was the crisp exhaust tone and smooth idle. Took her out from the ramp to the Indian River. Bumped it up to 3,000 then 3,500, 4,000, 4,500, and 4,800 RPM. She didn't miss a beat. I did take a couple of rods out to try a little fishing. Headed out the inlet into the ocean off Sebastian. Tried a couple of hole shots, and man she got on plane in a heartbeat. Never ran better!. My good neighbor and I landed a small Baracuda (Perfect for fried nuggets), and a good size Kingfish (Steaks on the grill for six). In all, the trip was 45NM, successful, and rewarding.
Back to the acknowledgement, without your input I would not have accomplished this successful rebuild. Thanks again for your help!
