  • 2001 LFTXRA idle high

I have twin 2001 Yamaha LF115TXRA recently (the last 03 trips) the starboard engine started idling at 1300 rpms. Could this be caused by trash in the throttle body valve?
    Please advise

could be sticking throttles. were BOTH throttle link updates done?

could be a sensor issue .

Should be easy enough to check the throttle valves to see if they are completely closing, or not.

One good thing about have twins is having a ready source of good parts to try.

Why not swap the idle air control valves and see if the problem moves from the one motor to the other?

If it is the IAC valve you want to get it fixed ASAP. Not good on the lower unit to be shifted at high RPM's. Not good for the ECU to keep commanding the IAC valve to close, when the valve won't do so.

          ECU's are expensive.
