Hi all, I am new to the forum. Just working on a new project of mine.
2001 Z200TLRZ
Cylinders 1 and 4 are not firing. Learned enough so far on the forum to check the neutral switch, which was intermittent when cycling with my ohm meter on it.
Wanted to jump the switch, to see if all 6 cylinders would fire. I put in the jumper, started the motor, then put it in gear and removed the jumper. No dice.
I put my meter on the blue/green wire from the harness with the motor running, no power. I chased the wire back a bit and saw it goes into the ECU (I think). The connector was suspect, so I opened the wire upstream for my meter, still nothing.
I suspect that the pin out from the ECU may be a problem, but that thing is tucked back there.
My questions:
1. Is the neutral switch wire (blue/green) supplied with 12v from the ECU?
2. Can I hot jump this wire to make the cylinders fire?
3. Does anyone have a wiring diagram that shows the ECU pin outs and where this blue/green wire gets power from?
Many thanks all.
As a side note, I did see the cylinders fire while starting one time, but not repeatable.
