I have a 2001, 225hp outboard. It will idle fine, then I will put the trottle down all the way and it will not go over 2000 rpms. I'll dial it back down to neutral and try again and same thing. After warming up and pushing applying gas and it's only at 2000 rpms, it will start to almost lurch and the rpms will suddenly rise to 4500 and the boat runs fine. Once you drop it back to neutral and try again, it again wont go over 2000 rpms. I've checked fuel, my mechanic tried a new computer and he said the computers is staying in a low RPM sensor position. The stator, and coails were replaced, same thing. Now they're saying it's in the wiring harness, any idea? Thanks for looking.
