With the cover on, My motor will start great and putt along at low speed fine, but when I crank it open it, it tries to get up to speed but then dies.
With the cover off, it starts and runs great and runs like a top at w/o throttle.
I thought it was sucking exhaust in so I replaced the exh. manifold gasket. I also made sure the wires from the coil to the spark plug were not getting bent down causing a bad connection.
But I still have the same problem????
Seems like it's having trouble breathing with the cover on, but there's nothing obstructing the air intake on the carb. I'm baffled???
