Hey Guys ,
I have been trying to install new T-Belt & tensioner.I have done this procedure before on other motors .
Old belt had some play and engine had 1k hours on motor . Belt & tensioner came off with ease went to install new Belt & tensioner the new belt is tight had to pry it over cam gears with screw drivers to get it on . Pulled pin on tensioner had to turn motor over by hand few times then tensioner clicked into place . The belt is very very tight ? I even tried to install the old belt same issue so tight could not get over cam gears .
I have looked an shop manual so many times went over anything that could have possibly be different in the geometry just can't see anything but something is different ?
Went and spoke to Yamaha Mech and he just said don't know you should have left it alone belts can go 2k hours ?
The belt is on motor runs but just dont feel godd about it . ..
