Tach Hour Meter Flickering

The hour display is flickering on my new 6y8-8350T-20 Tach.

Of the four wires plugged into the back, which colored wire is the hour meter?

There is no dedicated wire for the hour meter on a 6Y8 gauge.

Black is ground. Red is 12 volts. Blue and white are for digital data. All data that can be seen on the gauge comes up the blue and white wires.

If you have pixels that are coming and going I would suspect a defective gauge. Like having a digital alarm clock and part of the 8 is missing or intermittent.
