On motors that use the trim sender to inhibit the automatic transfer of oil, if the sender has crapped out/not getting its voltage/been removed from the system/etc. will the oil transfer system work normally when the motor is being operated? If so, is the motor now at risk of the oil pump coming on if and when the motor is tilted up?

Some Yam senders get their five volt reference from the tachometer or trim gauge. Do they all do this or do some get their five volts from a CDI or other source?

the only Yamaha motors that used the trim sender were 90-95 2.6L v6.
all 3.1V6 used a run signal from the pulser coil.
V4 until about 2004 used a mercury switch in the control module.
the 5V ref that the V6 2.6L used, I need to look again. memory fails a bit as that system was last used in 1995. that was a few years back.
best I recall my son is about 26 and he was born in 1990.
if the trim send pick off voltage is out of range the oil control module will inhibit auto oil transfer.
all v6 since 1995 use a pulser coil signal not any signals from the trim sender.
