I have twin 2001 Yamaha 115 HP four stroke motors on a 2001 Cobia 254CC, and I am having a problem with the starboard motor tilting up on its own. It does this intermittently whether the motor is running or not. Is there a connection I can clean or does a switch or motor need to be replaced.

It could be bad t/t switch or t/t up relay.
Try tapping on the t/t up relay first to see if the symptom reappears - if it does, then bad up relay.
If tapping on relay does nothing, then try exercising the t/t switches - should be two - one on remote and one on motor itself. Try "rocking" them slowly to see if the symptom occurs when the switch is in the middle or un-energized position.
Maybe, try tapping on the switches while they are in the un-energized position to get the symptom to occur.
