I have a new motor and I was wondering if T-9 Boeshield would be a good product to spray on the motor under the cowling? If so what is recommended to spray and wipe off excess or just let it dry.

Just spray it and leave it, I prefer Fluid Film, doesn't run off.

funny that a jet product would show up here...Just about any good petro based spray oil helps...myself not a fan of 40 attemps water depressant WD40

pisses the techs off

but it simply works.

I removed the heads and water cover jackets from a pair 1989 150 2 stroke Yamahas last week.
engines sold new and since 89 were sprayed yearly with fluid film.

2 head bolts made me nervous but out of over 130 fasteners none broke off.

I have delt with the motors since 1998.
