Help identifying extra bearing + spring

Hi,

Engine: 1996 C115TLRU

Took the carbs out to rebuild them, and somehow now I have an extra couple of parts that I can't believe I missed. One is a small bearing ball, the other is a little spring which I am sure goes with the little bearing but not sure where they came from.

Can you help identify them for me and tell me where they go? ( see attached )

I just looked at the schematic and didn't see it in the bereakdown, also I don't recall a ball and spring in a dual throat carb.

looks like the ball and spring used for the shift detent.
