Oil prime after reinstalling cylinder head on T9.9?
Do I need to prime the oil passages in my Yamaha T9.9ELHX before I start it up?
I am putting the power head back on the chassis after having the cylinder head and oil pan off. All oil has drained out of everything in there over the past few weeks that I have had it apart. It needed all new gaskets and the salt cleaned out.
Trying to avoid air locks and metal on metal until the oil gets up to pressure, the first time it starts.
Maybe I am over complicating things, but my online searches only find examples of priming larger block engines. My motor is only a two cylinder.
