Yamaha 30 HP Carburetor Float

I have a 1998 30 HP two stroke 3 cylinder , unfortunately the carbs had to be cleaned, does anyone know what orientation of the float pin retaining screw and washer ? , it seems that the lock washer rests on top of the float pin which does not look correct or does anyone have a picture ?

I take it the screw and washer just locks the pin to the carb body and the float pivots on the pin, why do you think this is wrong?
