Thanks Thanks.... Bosco99 and Rodbolt17 thank you both so much, i can work with this new information. I googled DVA and that is the adaptor i was thinking of. I do not have one however i can get one 1100 hrs this morning at Sears.

Simple to make one,
cap,diode,wire leads, and resistor.
but the capacitor is kind of hard to find.
easiest is to just buy one
