Connecting a T25XWTC to 12 volts DC?

Hi,

I am in the process of installing a 25HP high trust Yamaha on our catamaran and I have the diagram attached. How do I connect the outboard to my boat battery however since it has an electric starter? I don't see in the diagram where it connect to 12 V DC?

well, that diagram has nothing to do with the engine's battery cable connection,
what you have there is just for a 704 remote control and a helm-mounted gauge.

Are you using a remote control? or a tiller?

in either case, the cables from the battery go directly into the front of the engine cowling

Thank you fairdeal and boscoe99, I built 4 houses and I am confortable with car mechanic but it is the first time that I deal with an outboard. I am very humble anf willing to learn so your comments are very helpful.
