Yamaha 55AE 1979

Hi,

need some help with 55AE motor.
Its really hard to find spear parts. I have read some where that Mariner 55 is same motor as Yamaha 55AE. Is that true?

What is the serial number of your 55AE? I suspect that it begins with the numbers 663.

If you look at the parts catalog for a Mariner 55 you will see that it covers motors with serial numbers of 663 004041 and up. Is your number later than 004041? Might not even matter anyway.

If you are looking to source Yamaha part numbers for your motor then look at any of the C55 models that were sold here in the US. You will note that many begin with the 663 prefix.
