Help---flashing symbol on digital tach.

I'm new to boating and just picked up a 2004 F90 engine. There is a flashing symbol just above the "x100" marking on the 2004 digi tach. I can't find anything on this symbol in the manual or on the web.

It sounds like the oil indicator lights are flashing and means tach is not set properly. If it is a Yamaha digital gauge then it will work on 2 stroke and 4 stroke engines, there is a switch in back of gauge that will have to be set for 4 stroke
