My 2004 200 HP HPDI idles and runs smoothly at all RPM's. However, if I'm idling for a long time or *****ing (about 1,500 RPM) for a long time it cuts in and out when I push the throttle up to 3,500 RPM's. This works itself out after a minute or so. However, when it's acting up it's pretty extreme; RPM's go up and down like a roller coaster; boat rides like a bronco unless I pull back on the throttle. I've tried to see if I get the same symptoms after just a few minutes of idling or *****ing speed, and I do not. It only seems to happen after half an hour or more of lower RPM operation. Any ideas?
