Hi, a friend of mine has a 2015 Yamaha F300 engine.
The engine starts and runs fine in general.
However, when it's idling or at low revs, especially after startup, the engine burps/shakes (stalls?) momentarily and intermittently. He was a bit concerned, so we hooked up my diagnostic cable to my notebook but everything looks normal and there are no errors. The burping occurs every few mins when the engine is idle/at low rpms. Otherwise, it runs great throughout the mid range and at WOT.
Just wondering where the problem may lie. he's already cleaned out his fuel lines and filters but the problem is still there. He's wondering whether he should bother taking the injectors out and having them cleaned next, or if not, what else he should be checking/looking at.
At the moment it's more an annoyance but he's just concerned it may be the precursor of something more serious!
Thanks!
