My engine starts but idles rough. The engine will run rough and then suddenly the rpm increase and it runs smoothly, then rpm's drop again and runs rough. As i increase the speed the engine coughs and sputters and then suddenly kick in and runs smooth at a higher RPM. The rpm cycle back and forth ( rough to smooth idle) and sometimes kicks in and stays smooth ....but not for long.
I have cleaned the carb ( removing all the jets and blown out the holes).... the carb is clean. The engine fuel filter is also clean as is the water separator.
How do I fix this problem?
