at a hot shut down, carefully listen for the ISC valve to reset.
if you hear it rattle its resetting or trying to.
then temp gun the ISC, if over about 205*f unplug it and try a restart.

a sticking ISC valve will over heat the ECU and can melt ign coils, affect fuel injection and burn up ECM's.

Ok so isc valve is making noise. I didn't have a temp gun. Also should I vent the vst while I am running or when I try to restart? Last, not sure it's a temp issue as we waited an hour and it started and died. It's almost like it has to go through the cycle of not starting. Wait. And it will start. Motor should have cooled down as I had the cowling off. Thoughts?

vent it before the hot shut down.

a quick test of the VST vent that's kinda accurate.

          unplug the low pressure pump.
run the engine until it stalls.
have someone pump the primer bulb back up.
listen for the valve groaning as air is purged from the VST.

if it does not groan every time the primer is pumped its most likely failing.

So here is what is going on. When I have trouble, the fuel pressure is around 42 psi (roughly). This time I got a high temp alarm after it started back up. Shut it down , waited a few minutes and started it back up. When it died after about 15 seconds, it would not fire up after. Fuel and fuel pressure in the fuel rail. I pulled the plugs and they were fine. It is almost like something is making the injectors stop working. I tried everything you guys have said so far with no results. The high temperature alarm is new(was at an idle and I have replaced the pressure relief valve a couple years ago.)
