Engine Paint

I will be replacing some external parts on my engine. Would like to paint these parts the Yamaha color or close to original. In the past I have done this but it just don't last. Is there a paint process in which it can be applied and stay in the saltwater environment?

I use a spray paint in a grey/blue metallic from Advanced Auto on my lower unit in places and it stays on pretty well....maybe some primer would help but it's doing O.K. Like it is and the color is a close match for the Yamaha paint...
