Hello all
This is my first post and first boat, so here goes!
The short version is I took the plunge after many years and bought a boat. The boat is OK for a starter however it is coupled with a 96 70beto precision blend that has been almost tinkered with to death
This thing takes a good 5 to 10 minutes to start In the cold. After much advice I was told about the internal choke (red lever) and electrothermal valve. I took the valve out to test and found two things 1) it was all seized with oil and 2) the return neutral lead was disconnected. So I cleaned the valve out and tested it. After about 2 minutes it extends by about 5mm.
My question is now that I have put it back together I am concerned that I am over tightening the housing. I have attached a picture if anyone has any information on the distance between the two points at 20 degrees C, before I remount it. Also any idea where the neutral secures to?
Thanks in advance.
