Is there any way to open up the butterfly valve further on the throttle body? My mechanic says it's at about 80% and he'd like to see it open to 90% if possible. If I open it up more will it provide more power?

find a real mechanic.
you CANNOT test throttle shutter opening with the laptop.
all the laptop will tell you is what its based on the TPS.
to check the actual shutter opening you just need peepers. -
I believe he was using his eyes, not the laptop. He used percentages instead of degrees. He said like to see it vertical if possible. I've sent him a text to explain it to me a little more.

he most likely was reading the laptop, it gives percent of throttle opening.
80-90% is normal on the laptop.
the information is calculated by the ECU based on the tps feedback.Comment

So, if it's at 80% or below it's low even with the laptop? If so will that cause performance issues as far as power output?Comment
