Fuel filter cup Issues

Bought a new paper filter for under the cowling, had a heck of a time getting the cup off. Had to stick it in the freezer to get it off. Now the cup will not screw back on straight, what should I do?

How long has it been off?

Might be good idea to buy a new one if letting it set off for a day or 2 does not help.

That good old corn squizens reeks havick on that plastic some times

Had the exact same issue with mine TWICE. As Boscoe noted, the ethonol turns it yellow and it physically expands.

They replaced it once under warranty, I replaced it once outside warranty. Its cheap enough and a new one will fall into place.

Its really easy to force the old one up there and NOT get a good seal (don't ask). A new one is cheap enough and will last a couple of years easily..

usually , if I don't destroy the threads on removal, it will go back on the next day.
gotta love corn sqeezins.
