F60 overheat signal

I have a 2005 F60 on a flats boat. I replaced the water pump and housing about a year ago. When the boat idles for more than 10 minutes the overheat buzzer comes on. If I shut off the motor and turn it back on it goes away. If I shut it off turn the engine back on and start moving it does not come on. I have also replaced the heat sensor and thermostat.
Any ideas?

Not enough water flow is my guess.

Flats boats are run in shallow water a lot and need their water pumps replaced often due to wear from the mud/sand sucked through.

Have you checked to make sure all is still good?

Looking for ideas before I drop the lower unit. I have plenty of water coming out. Thanks

Are you sure it is a overheat alarm that is coming in?
Do you have gauges that say it is overheat?

Just because the tell tail shows water flow does not mean it is pumping as much as it should or going everywhere it should.

If debris has been picked up and run through the cooling system it can plug up some cooling passages. A lot can happen to a 10 year old motor
back flushing can help sometimes.
