90 TLRZ lower unit?

I blew the lower unit in my 2001 90hp Tlrz. The local boat repair shop has a 70Hp TLRZ lower unit available. Can I swap these two and if so, are the gear ratios the same?

What I need to know is, will the lower unit from the 70 hp tlrz fit my 90 hp tlrz.

I say most likely.

90 has a 2/1 gear ratio. 70 has a 2.33/1 gear ratio. Use of a 70 lower unit might result in the need for a different propeller.
