  • HPDI Cracked Water Sensor

I got a new boat last year with a VZ200TLRC. I’ve been going through it replacing all of the filters. After changing all of the filters and adjusting the TPS sensor, because it was too high, I was having a low idle rpm problem. I redid the link and sync and verified proper TPS adjustment per the manual and I was still having low idle. I replaced the LP pumps because both leaked when the bulb was pumped while unbolted from the engine. The idle seems better but the onboard fuel filter cup doesn’t want to stay full. I found a little fuel on the bottom of the cup so I took the water sensor out of the cup. It has cracks all in it (through the o-ring groove and in the rod) and the float would not move freely on the rod. I have ordered a new cup. (Ouch$$) Could this be the source of my idle problems? What problems would an air leak here cause?
