This may seem like a stupid question to some, but I recently bought a boat with a 2009 Yamaha two stroke 75CETO upgraded to 90 hp ex RNLI outboard with a 703 con*****er. Other than that there were no gauges whatsoever, I was told that a command link tach would be compatible with my engine, so I bought a 6Y8 gauge, rigging kit and hub.
The four pin connector inside the cowling has only three wires connected to it, with one disconnected and another wire coming from the main harness looks as tho it's been cut. The connection from the hub and the engine are both female connections.
I'm no sure if this is because it's just straight up not compatible or at some stage the connections were part of the RNLI's modifications.
Any help would be really appreciated, can't seem to find any clear cut answers anywhere atm.
