Looking to replace and old digital gauge(s) on my 2001, 150hp Saltwater series
Motor. The Tach that is on there now has 4 symbols on the bottom a red overheat; red circle, yellow oil can, and green circle that all has to do with the oiling system. I want to change the look of the boat a go to analog using the pro series II ( 6Y7-83540-80-00) or the pro series (6Y5-83540-05-00). There Pro series II has the 2 warning indicators (1heat and 1 oil) and because it only has one oil indicator when does it come on, when the boat tank is empty or 1/2 or engine tank empty?? The Pro Series just has the 3 oil indicators so where does the overheat come in at. Does anyone have a preference, and more importantly are they plug and play from what I have currently-- meaning no pigtail adapters or any other silliness.
