  • Pro V 150 Torque tab

I have a 1987 ProV 150. The motor runs great. I have installed Boysen Reeds and had the heads resurfaced. I also installed a new exhaust plate. Here is my issues. My torque tab keeps shifting all the way to the right. I replaced it with a new one and the same thing happens. I am running a 4 blade Spinelli Brothers 25 pitch prop. I have no idea why this keeps happening. It is not working loose. My prop is also froze on the shaft. I have another lower unit and I am thinking about installing new water pump in it and installing it on the motor and see what happens with a different prop. My pad to prop shaft height is 4" and I have 18 to 23 psi water pressure. The motor is on a Bob's machine jack plate manual adjust and has a 5" set back. I would appreciate any help! I also would like to know where I can buy a prop puller that will fit this prop. I purchased one but the tabs on the arms are too big to fit inside the prop. I don't really want to grind them down unless I can't get one to fit.

Gotta go a little tighter. On a fast boat there is a lot of torque on it. I had the same issue....had to crank it tighter.
