When putting my starting battery back in the boat today, I stupidly thought I remembered the polarity of the cables without double checking. Sure enough, sparks and now after correcting the polarity, nothing, no trim, no display on Yamaha digital display and no starter.
Please tell me there is a just a fuse that blew and nothing more major. I looked around in the battery compartment and under the center console but nothing blown that I could see.
All accessories are working fine (lights, horn, bilge, etc.)
    This is a 90TRLD.

There is a 20amp inline fuse on motor that will blow if battery cables are hooked up backwards, check the engine fuse.

Boats.Net- Found the fuse you referenced under the cowling and sure enough it was blown. There was even a spare in a plastic sack hanging by the fuse holder. Problem solved. Thanks to you and Yamaha

        Hey - Steve,
Take a look at the answer to your first post (below) - you need to consider the "color-coding".

Ken: Have you forgotten that "stupid stupid" was the topic? You force me to admit that the cable was marked with a bright red plastic sleave on the positive cable. It was the me turning the battery around that really set me up for the fall. It won't happen again that I don't double check....but I did replace the spare 20A fuse in case I have another senior moment. Thanks again!
