703 control box push to open arm/cam placement

I broke the cam on my warm-up lever and now have a replacement cam. Since this is a push to open throttle, I believe that the cam goes forward in the push to open configuration (that is, the pin on the cam faces forward). The throttle arm has two slots in it. One slot is straight and the other is a 90 degree elbow. I assume the pin on the cam fits into one of these slots but which one for the push to open configuration?

The exploded view is at the link below and the two parts in question are #3 (cam) and #2 (throttle arm - push to open).
