  • Need rigging info for kit 6Y8-WE83S-30-00

I have 2 new F(FL) 200XB's. This is a repower project. I am looking for rigging data to connect the required cables to the engines, hubs & gauges.

The local dealer that sold me everything, cannot find this information, the best he could do was to provide a "Rigging Estimate Guide" for a 4 gauge, 3 hub set-up, which will not work for my kit.

I have the Twin Engine, 3 gauge (square) kit 6Y8-WE83S-30-00, plus one extra cable, it is 25 ft. long (6Y8-82553-31) with gray 6 pin connectors with only 4 wires. I cannot find anywhere to connect it to the engine, however, each hub has a receptacle for it. Is it needed?

I would like the rigging information for connecting the engines to the hubs & gauges, including where in the engines the connectors are located.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks boscoe99, sorry for the delay getting back to you.
The idiot dealer has strung me along with promises, nothing else.

I understand the rigging estimate guide, that is what I was looking for.

I still cannot locate the connection at the engine, do I remove a cover inside the engine, to find the gauge cable connection?

        Thanks again,

Look inside the engine pan. There will be a bright white connector with a cap on it. It is a four pin connector with only two wires. Blue and white. Inside the connector it will be bright orange.

Look also for the two pink wires with a single connector (plus cap) on each. These two wires will be connected together.

              boscoe99.
OK, one more. I have installed one of the 12 ft. cables, I'm leaving the other side for reference, and I am not smart enough or maybe strong enough to get that darned cable grommet back into it's round shape. I come close but my old hands are giving up on me.
Are there any procedures, tricks or tools. I also thought about using a silicone spray.

The grommet can be a bear to close up after all of the cables are installed. It helps to make sure that the right harnesses/cables go through the correct openings.

The opening highlighted in yellow is for the Command Link harness.

                Silicone spray might help.

                  Thanks again boscoe99.

I found that drawing earlier & it was essential to aid in getting everything properly "clocked". The first grommet took way too long & I figured out that the battery cable was the culprit, it must lay very flat in it's trough.
Also, I found that closing the grommet was easier if I first worked the grommet & attachment bracket into place, then work the grommet closed.
Yes, silicon spray aided in the final closing.

This is not a task for weak hands.

Your help has been invaluable, Thank You.
