    Hello Mr. Almetelo,

Here in the US Yamaha introduced the XF425 a while ago. Same platform as the XF375, just a different ECU. From what I have heard it is a "beast". The lower unit is reported to weigh well over 50 kg.

As you note, the XF375 is not offered here in the US. However, they both share the same owner's manual. Same service manual.

Hope you are doing well over there.

Is this some sort of tax matter in relation to hp? Why not a 425?

Ole looked up the shipping weight of 425 lower after I posed the question on another forum. If I recall 178 lbs. How much would packaging weigh? Massive.

Many could have a problem lifting the propeller.

There is a special tool that is used to remove and reinstall the lower unit. Supported by a hoist. Looks to be a two man dog and pony show.

A 50kg LU is amazing but in fact the F425/F375 is huge!

I dont understand Yamaha policy of not sell all power ranges worldwide as used to do on 2 strokes motors
I know in US you are missing the F5, F80, F100, F130 and for me me the F130 is a very interesting motor (powerfull and light) and now the F375
In EU we dont have the F75 and F90

I would think there would me a decent market for F130 in the US.

Reading the spec's, you change the LU oil W/O pulling the boat out of the water!! Love it!

                  hahahah
                  BOLD new graphics.
I made a mile stone last week at Kennasaw.
                  I hit 140lbs.
                  the 5.3 gearcase is 133.
                  I change a few a month.
                  never used a hoist.
maybe that is why they are gonna fuse 3 vertabra in my neck soon.
I just hope the 5.6 works out better than the 5.3.
