New F70 water temp guage?

My Pops just got a new F70 and wants to hook up an analog temp gage. My question is... can we tap into the thermal sensor and use it as a sender?

No.

You can either install a Command Link gauge to get a water temperature bar scale, or you can install an NMEA 2000 MFD to get a temperature reading, but you cannot tap into the temperature sensor and have it feed an analog gauge.

Why not just get the analog gauge, the appropriate sender, and install those?

He had a 99 F50, the block/head look very similar on this motor. On the old motor he had the sender in the same location that the new motors thermal sensor is located. So I guess Im not really seeing a place to install a sender.
