How Much Torque?

Boats.net - or anybody else,
No where in my Yamaha shop manual can I find a specified torque for the water pump bolts. I would think this is pretty critical, since the bolts tighten down against a plastic/nylon housing. Does 3.5 ft-pounds of torque sound about right?

No it is not listed in service manual you just use general torque specs. Tighten in 2 steps first in half torque then in final torque.
6MM bolt 5.8ft/lb
8MM bolt 13ft/lb(your motor would have 8MM bolts)
10MM bolt 25ft/lb
