My outboard starts fine but when key is turned off, engine continues to run. Located in the BVI and local mechanic diagnosed problem as wiring harness related. I ordered wiring harness part number 6CJ-83590-00-00 and the part doesn't even reach to the throttle box. Suspect we ordered wrong part, should we have ordered part # 6C5-82105-0-00 or are we not properly addressing the problem? Initially, we were told that wiring harness had to come from Japan and only 3 were available with a 3 week wait, also needed the required length. That was not addressed when we place the order for 6CJ83590-00-00. Would appreciate any guidance. Will be returning above ordered part cause that doesn't solve the problem I think.
