  • Help with 2004 90 TLRC lights/alarm

Looking for some help on this issue. This past winter I went through the normal winterization by fogging, changing motor oil, gear oil, etc. Also took the opportunity to rebuild the carbs. While they were off I checked the electrothermal valve, fuel pump, and oil sending unit.

Now that everything is back together and the motor running great, my lights (nav, courtesy, bow, and stern) do not work. Also my alarm does not sound when I pull the lanyard and crank the motor. All of these worked before I did the winter maintenance. All gauges, tilt/trim, bilge pump are working fine.

So, my question to you knowledgeable folks is - could I have inadvertently changed something, or knocked a wire loose, when working on the motor that would cause these issues? Or, do I just start troubleshooting a lighting issue not connected to the motor?

    Thanks for the help.

I would chase the light problem, could be a bad ground.
But easy to see if + and - are where they should be.
Then see if that repair fixes the buzzer also

I don't think the 90 will sound a buzzer with the lanyard removed and cranking.
leave the key on and ground the pink temp wire.
