Yamaha 40/30 water pump-chrome kit

I am rebuilding the 6 year old water pump on my yamaha 40/30 2006 jet. you offer the standard rebuild kit and you also offer a "chrome" kit for considerably more money. What are the advantages of the chrome kit? It is kit 66T-W0078-0A and contains 66T-44323-40 and 63D-44322-40. I have used the stock kit for 6 years and it is still working fine.

the chrome is harder , so it will not wear(groove) as easy.
Good for running it very turbid ( dirty/sandy)water
it sounds like you do not need it if you went 6 years on a regular one
