Need how to on priming oil pump

So my check valves were leaking on Keihin oil pump. I have decided to try cleaning them before replacing/converting to minkuni.

I cleaned the check valves and pretty sure there is now air in the injection lines between the pump and cylinders.

What is the proper way to prime this system?

pre mix some fuel and run the motor, it will finally get the air out

How much premix should I run through it a couple gallons or a whole tank? My tank is 30 gallons.

to get a good mix I would use a portable tank and shake it well , a few gallons should work. Mark you oil level to see if it moves and watch for the air in lines to make sure all lines are clear of air

Rodbolt mentioned the other day an oil pump (two stroke) was self priming. (I don't know). Wether that applied to one particular engne, or all oil injected engines.

+1 on just running a 6 gallon temp, pre-mixed gas tank, that should be plenty.

V engines have a bleed screw.
inline engines are self bleeding.

either way I would run 10 gallons or so of premix to verify oil consumption.

inline engines you can simply mark the tank.
V engines mark the REMOTE tank.
