When you look at those words they look tied, maybe need a new word. Why do we still use the word relay, what does it relay? What happened to switch; a relay used to be an electric switch. Switch at least suggests there is more than one thing it can do. Tilt and trim needs two relays normally.

a relay is an electro mechanical device.
thanks to solid state semi conductor technology we can eliminate the mechanical part and make it 4 times more expensive 3 times harder to test and twice as sucseptible to failure.
but it is kinda like the difference from a differential, a center section or a pumpkin or a chunk. depends on where your at.
